Overview
Autonomy and uncrewed systems recruitment for drone and UAS manufacturers, uncrewed land and maritime vehicle developers, robotics companies and counter-UAS specialists. This is one of the fastest-moving areas in defence, and engineers who have taken autonomous systems from prototype to field are in demand everywhere. We recruit permanent and contract engineers who have built and tested real hardware, not just simulations.
Roles We Recruit
Hardware, software and test talent across air, land and maritime uncrewed systems.
Drones and UAS: airframe, flight control, propulsion and integration engineers for fixed-wing, rotary and VTOL systems.
Uncrewed Land and Maritime Vehicles: vehicle, marine, power and integration engineers for UGVs, USVs and UUVs.
Autonomy, Perception and Navigation: autonomy, computer vision, sensor fusion, GNC and resilient navigation engineers.
Robotics and Embedded Systems: robotics, embedded software, firmware, FPGA and electronics engineers.
Counter-UAS: detection, tracking, effector, RF and systems integration engineers for counter-drone systems.
Why Autonomy Hiring Is Hard
The talent pool is young, mobile and courted by robotics, automotive and big tech as well as defence. Strong candidates want to know the hardware works and the programme is funded, and dual-use work brings export control and end-use questions that need answering early. We test for hands-on experience with fielded systems, and position your role clearly against offers from outside defence.
